A Brief Introduction... Statistics state over 15% (Canadian Council on Social Development, 2006) of disabled individuals are failing to get the attention they need. There is a great need for a program that assists individuals who are coping with disability in the Peel Region.
The need for our program is supported by the region of Peel’s Accessibility Plan (2010) which notes that approximately 171,030 people living in Peel have a disability.
14.8% of the total Peel population have either a visible or non-visable disability.
CLC bridges the gap for those in need of immediate assistance.
