WHAT IS CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT? CE is college classes available specifically for high school

students. It gives both high school and college credit. Tuition is free, but you must pay for books, supplies, etc.

So why isn’t it marketed and taught more at HHS?

DOES THE SCHOOL GIVE ENOUGH INFO? The majority of students heard from their

counselors/teachers. From our research, we’ve concluded that self-interest was the main reason kids took CE courses.

RECOMMENDATIONS

CE is only talked about for 5-10 minutes at orientations. We suggest that there is more time to give information about it and the benefits.

Give informative meetings after school for parents. Send packets with info with registration letters in the

mail. Announcements during school. Pamphlets or brochures in counseling office.

There isn’t much info on the HHS website about CE. We suggest they give a designated section on the website for more information and requirements.

SUMMARY

Concurrent Enrollment isn’t marketed at HHS effectively. Students mainly pursue the classes from their own

interest. Not enough information is given to parents and students. It isn’t really suggested or pushed on high school

students. HHS needs to advertise CE more on the website, at

orientations, meetings/parent teacher conferences, and in the counseling center.
