College Magazine Screen Grabs

This is the original image that I took and used for the

background of my magazine. It is medium close up because

this is what we were asked to produce.

To get rid of the projector screen in the background I used the magic wand tool, selected the background and deleted it

all.

Then I added the background colour that I planned to use in the planning of my

magazine, because that would create a good contrast with the masthead I got

from Dafont.

Then I added the background colour that I planned to use in the plan for my magazine, because that would

create a good contrast with the mastheads I designed.

I added two boxes at the top and bottom to act as skyline and a footer.

Which I later add text to.

After that I added text into the boxes giving information on some of the

contents of the magazine.

I used the rectangle tool to draw three rectangles

that I then rotated to give them a bit more of an

edge.

Next I used the horizontal type tool to add some cover lines within in a box to

get a white on black (/red) affect.

I did the same thing with this and then added in another original image that I took of

another students beats headphones in the class.

Using the horizontal type tool I simply added some black

text (using swatches to select the font colour) too act as

cover lines.

I did the same thing with this cover line but instead just used as red swatch

colour.

As with the others this cover line was inserted using horizontal type and a

black swatch.

I thought the page looked unbalanced as I used the same method as in the previous three slides and added this cover line with horizontal type and a

black swatch.
