SBE Program Requirements

The City of Phoenix strives to advance the economic growth of local businesses through its Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program.
The City requires the participation of SBE firms throughout ALL phases of contracts.
Subject to City of Phoenix Code, Chapter 18, Article Vl, pertaining to the participation of Small Business Enterprise (SBE) firms.

The City of Phoenix SBE Goals Committee has established an SBE participation goal of 5% for this contract.
The successful submitter is required to meet or exceed the Required SBE Goal for ALL work performed on the construction contract.
The Prime Contractor is required to demonstrate good faith efforts to utilize certified SBE firms to achieve this goal during the life of this contract.

MUST PROVIDE AT SUBMITTAL Contractor’s Statement of Proposed SBE Utilization
Letter’s of Intent to Perform as an SBE Subcontractor / Supplier
Failure to submit complete & accurate forms = NON-RESPONSIVE

To participate in this opportunity as an SBE, only firms certified by the City of Phoenix in the specified scopes of work shall be considered in calculating SBE participation.
Prime Contractors may NOT self perform work proposed for SBE participation.

Project DescriptionLift Station No. 43 is located on the west side of 75th
Avenue approximately 2,000 LF south of SouthernAvenue.
Project includes the operational improvements requiredto bring the lift station up to current design standards,provide reliability for City of Phoenix O&M staff, andincrease the lift station capacity.

Scope of WorkLift Station No. 43 Operational Improvements includes:
• Removal of the existing pumping equipment, discharge piping, valve vault, bypass, odor scrubber, and miscellaneous appurtenances.
• Installation of three new submersible raw sewage pumps.
• Construction of the wet well interior.
• New discharge piping that includes a dedicated connection to each force main with a crossover bypass built-in.

Scope of Work• Pig launching station for various maintenance operations.
• Refurbishment of sluice gates.
• Installation of biofilter system and appurtenances.
• Replacing electrical equipment, including:• Service Entrance Section• Automatic Transfer Switch• Manual Transfer Switch• Programmable Logic Controller
