MIDDLE EAST

WHAT IS THE ISSUE?

Children's rights are the human rights of children with particular attention to the rights of special protection and care afforded to the young. This includes their right to basic needs such as food, universal state-paid education, health care and criminal laws appropriate for the age and development of the child. There are many interpretations of children's rights ranging from allowing children the ability for independent action to the enforcement of children being free from abuse. Or more simply, they are known as the rights to care and nurturing.

CHILDREN RIGHT’S IN THE MIDDLE EAST

Numerous children in the Middle East are subject to abuse, both physical, sexual, and mental. Many find themselves involved in wars, others are without food or shelter. Organizations such as UNICEF are working to supply these children with life's necessities and also to ensure that their rights are protected.

UNITED NATIONS INVOLVEMENT

The UN is working with various organizations such as UNICEF to provide children with the supplies they need. They are also working to prevent them from becoming child soldiers.

PROGRESS

Everybody is working together to improve the lives of the children in the middle east.
