It is said that a man’s destiny is written in the stars. HenriChenot’s destiny was written in the pages of the books hebought as a teenager: one was by Jean-Jacques RousseauandtheotherbyChateaubriand.Andtothinkthathegrewupinafamilywherereadingwasconsideredawasteoftime!

OfCatalanorigin,butFrenchbyadoption,Chenothasalwayslovedphilosophybecausethepleasureofknowledgeattractedandinvigoratedhimmorethananythingelse.

HestudiedbiologyattheSorbonneResearchCenterforMarineBiology in Banyuls-sur-Mer, France, majoring in humanisticsciences,psychologyandtraditionalChinesemedicine,whichhecontinuedtostudyfor10years.

A true trailblazer, in the early 1970s Henri Chenot createdthe first phytocosmetic and phytotherapeutic treatmentsin dedicated laboratories, demonstrating the value of newapproaches to thalassotherapy which he then shared withotherscientists.

HisworktraveledwithhimthroughoutEurope.Presidentandfounder of the Phytocosmetic Association, he has spokenat many important conferences where he emphasizes theimportanceofpreventionthroughanewlifestyle:abalanceddiet,healthydailyhabits,andtheuseofpure,naturalessentialoils. And Henri’s thirst for knowledge continues: he hasobtained a master’s degree and a PhD in psychology, andobtainedadoctoratehonoris causainHumanSciencesfromtheUniversityofKensington.

In 1974,HenriChenot saw theneed for a structured facilitywhere he could put his philosophy into practice, and heopenedthefirstEspaceHenriChenotattheCannesPolyclinic.

Butitwasonlyinthe1980sthatthedreamwastrulyheretostay,whentheEspaceHenriChenotwasopenedinMerano,inItaly’sTrentino-SouthTyrolregion.Itisanessentialsymbolofrenewalforpeoplewhowanttogetbackintoshapeandrediscoverwell-being.

In 1999HenriChenotdevelopedbiontology, anewconceptandauniquemethodforapproachingallthatrevolvesaroundtheagingprocess.

In2004HenriChenotfoundedtheAcademyofBiontology.
