The 25th Annual Fresh Start Charity Golf Classic presented by
and hosted by the Fresh Start Men’s Board is
one of Arizona’s largest non-celebrity, charity golf tournaments.
Our unique tournament offers (4) HOLE IN ONE opportunities per
course for vehicles courtesy of Valley Toyota Dealers as well as
other contests and on-course challenges.
Golfers will spend their day on the beautiful links of the Talking Stick
Golf Club, enjoying a boxed lunch and beverages followed by dinner
which includes an awesome after-party.
The event has raised more than $3 million, and 80 percent of every
dollar raised directly serves clients at Fresh Start.
ABOUT FRESH START
Since 1992, Fresh Start Women’s Foundation has been on a mission to provide education, resources and support for women to positively transform their lives and strengthen our community. Fresh Start helps women ages 18 and up, focus on key areas of their lives with a wide range of services, classes and workshops designed to teach self-confidence, life skills and career development.
In 2018, Fresh Start:
• Saw 25,708 visits to the Resource Center
• Welcomed 2,803 new clients
• Conducted 2,324 social work sessions
• Offered 481 support groups
• Completed 1,656 family law support sessions
• Assisted 1,278 computer workshop attendees
• Awarded $212,501.38 in career and educational scholarships
Women come to Fresh Start from a number of different situations. Some are recently divorced or separated. Others are unemployed or simply looking for a new start in life. They’re looking for a friendly face, helpful guidance and a chance to reach their highest potential. And that’s why we’re here.

A 4-time PGA TOUR winner, Notah is the most accomplished
Native American in the history of the PGA TOUR. Off the golf
course, Notah’s commitment to working with tribal communities
is undeniable. In 2013, Notah was asked to be part of the NBC golf
broadcast team and is now recognized as the first Native American
to hold a national broadcasting position on network television.
Named by the Institute for International Sport as one of the Top 100
Sports Educators in the world, Notah continues to represent Indian
country both on and off the golf course. In 2016, REDW & Notah
Begay III formed a strategic partnership dedicated to improving
financial literacy in Indian Country.
Notah Begay III is participating in the event in partnership with REDW, our Community

Notah Begay III was born and raised in
Albuquerque, New Mexico. Half Navajo, ¼
San Felipe, and ¼ Isleta, Notah secured a
scholarship to Stanford University where he
earned a degree in Economics in addition
to earning All-American Honors three times
and leading the golf team to a National
Championship in 1994.
