A key element in the delivery of all CCG projects – providing support to local communities in the form of:

• Access to CCG apprenticeship and training programmes

• Work placements

• Curriculum support for local schools/ colleges

• Support to SME’s, charitable organisations in the form of donations that can be financial or supplied equipment

• Community Benefits being delivered on 95% of our current building programme.

Social Value &

Community Benefit

Estbd. in 1974 & has evolved from heating and plumbing installation into main contracting & manufacturing. Change has been an Evolution rather than a Revolution driven by our desire to • improve quality • productivity • reduce site based waste & inefficiency Business culture is one of continuous improvement ...our product & our people.

Evolution not Revolution CCG Drivers of Change

Housing Crisis – More & Faster ! Sector growth – PRS Increased Regulation Sustainability Agenda Skills shortage Brexit Risk!!

Sector Drivers Threat & Opportunity

‘ TICKING TIME BOMB IS THE INDUSTRYS SKILLS DEMOGRAPHIC ………..WITHIN A DECADE WE COULD SEE A 20-25% DECLINE IN AVAILABLE WORKFORCE ’ .

MODERNISE OR DIE

‘ACCELERATION OF THE WIDER DIGITAL REVOLUTION’

What is Off- Site?

“ …the creation of components, modules or entire buildings in a factory setting , which are then assembled on site .”

Reduction in handling

Pre-installed components

Innovative use of materials

Value : Quality & Consistency Tech. Performance Customer Satisfaction Efficiency : Time / Waste Management / Flexibility Sustainability : Environmental /Economic/Social

Benefits

• Factory Controlled Conditions

• Precision engineering

• Greater Consistency

• Less on-site damage

• Fewer post completion defects

• IS0 9001 Quality Management

System

Focus On

Quality

• Rapid site erection • Weather protected • Less trade interfaces • Fewer wet trades • Simplified management

Safer Working:

• Less people and vehicle movements on site

• Improved working conditions – warm, dry and well lit

Programme Efficiencies

• Responsible material sourcing • Fewer vehicle movements –

lower emissions • Minimal waste • Recycling of waste products • High level of Carbon

sequestration • Excellent thermal properties • Air tightness detailing • Reduced fossil fuel

consumption • Lower fuel bills

Sustainability

130,000 ft2 production hall • 52 Factory Operatives • 4 Designers • 1 Production Manager • 2 Contract Supervisors

Weinmann Semi Automated Production Line

3 Lane cad/cam interfaced platform delivering structural kit to closed panel solutions inclusive of insulation ,wall linings

service zones ,windows and external doors.

The system is manufactured to consistent quality standards & fewer panels ,junctions & thermal bridges offer better air

tightness and improved thermal performance .

CCG also manufacture timber window and door products a second semi-automated facility in Cambuslang which has the

capacity for 20,000 units PA.

Average production rate and specification delivers a home every 3 hours

Level of automation within the industry depends very much on standardisation of product which is not always easy to achieve in construction

& housing

The key advantages of automation require to be realised on site…. Automation has driven our programme knowledge & certainty which can then be passed

through to our clients.

Productivity gains in the factory supported by just-in-time practices on site dictate shorter overall programme durations – typically 20%

gains
