The MBA Program at CSULB is offered three ways

•When can you attend classes?

•How fast do you want to get your MBA?

•How much work experience do you have?

Four key factors to help select the right program for you:

When can you attend classes?

Evening MBA classes are held at 4pm or 7pm, Monday-Thursday

Accelerated MBA classes are held Monday-Thursday, 9:30am-3:15pm

Fully Employed MBA Classes are held Saturdays from 8am-6pm

How fast do you want to get your MBA?

The Evening MBA is self-paced (you decide how many classes you take per semester). You can also take classes during the summer.

The Accelerated MBA takes one year to complete (lock-step cohort). There are five 10-week sessions with a one-week break between sessions.

The Fully Employed MBA takes 23 months to complete (lock-step cohort). The program consists of eight 10-week sessions with a one-week break between sessions.

Evening MBA: You can begin your studies in either fall or spring.

Accelerated MBA: The next cohort will begin July 28, 2008.

Fully Employed MBA: The next cohort starts October 2008.

How much work experience to you have?

Evening MBA does not require work experience, but it would be helpful.

Accelerated MBA does not require work experience, but it would be helpful.

Fully Employed MBA requires at least three years work experience—the average is nine years.

How important is cost?

Evening MBA, Accelerated MBA, and Fully Employed MBA all teach the same high-quality, cutting-edge MBA curriculum.

The Accelerated MBA and the Fully Employed MBA are administered in conjunction with University College & Extension Services (UCES). Services such as class registration are carried out by UCES. Student advising and all academic functions are carried out by CBA.

How important is cost (cont’d)

•Evening MBA: 0-6 units = $1,261 7 or more units= $2,050 (per semester; other fees included)

•Accelerated MBA: $650 per unit (includes class registration, books, materials, parking, and field trips)

•Fully Employed MBA: $550 per unit (includes class registration, books, materials)

These are the current fees which are subject to change based on approval

Year One (12 units)– Accounting 500: Management & Financial Accounting

– Finance 501: Financial Management

– Management 500: Business Policies, Operations and Organizations

– Marketing 500: Marketing Concepts

These classes may be waived if you have earned a degree from an AACSB-accredited business school within the last 10 years

BLAW and ECON Requirements

You are expected to fulfill the body of knowledge requirement for a basic business law class and a basic economics class.

Students who have not had an Economics course prior to entering the MBA Program must acquire that knowledge by completing an Economics course as a condition to obtaining an MBA degree

Students who have not had an upper division Business Law course prior to entering the MBA Program must acquire that knowledge by completing Business Law 520 or its equivalent.

Most students, particularly those with a business undergraduate degree, have already taken these classes and this requirement will be waived for them upon presenting a transcript that lists these classes.

included in MBA application”).• Submit $55 non-refundable fee• Submit one set of original transcripts• (International Students apply to International Admissions)

• Create your file – even if you have not yet taken the GMAT Exam• Inform the Office of your scheduled GMAT Date• No application will be reviewed unless complete

• There are mandatory orientation sessions during which you learn about CSULB’s rules and regulations, procedures for graduations and much more. Activities during the orientation include team building exercises, case study workshops, lunch and more.
