But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also

of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if

anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor,

sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

II TIMOTHY 2:20-21 (NKJV)

THE ISSUE IS NOT:

“HOW” YOU ARE

THE ISSUE IS:

“WHOSE” YOU ARE

We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are

like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it

clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.

II CORINTHIANS 4:7 (NLT)

“ The Heavenly Father does not

ask for golden vessels. He does

not ask for silver vessels. God

asks for yielded vessels —

those who will submit their will

to the will of the Father. And the

greatest human attainment in all

the world is for a life to be so

surrendered to Him that the

name of God Almighty will be

glorified through that life. ”

KATHRYN KUHLMAN

“ I made a consecration of my

life that I had never made

before, when I saw that it was

absolutely possible for me to

so yield my life, my body, as a

living sacrifice — a sacrifice

so consecrated to Him that

the name of God Almighty

may be glorified through the

life of a sinner saved by

the grace of God.”

KATHRYN KUHLMAN

“No one can sum up all God is able

to accomplish through one solitary

life, wholly yielded, adjusted, and

obedient to Him.”

A YIELDED VESSEL IS

Sanctified

“I am glad that there is some trouble in being a Christian, for it has

become a very common thing to profess to be one. If I am right, it is

going to become a much less common thing for a person to say, ‘I

am a Christian.’ There will come times when sharp lines will be

drawn. Some of us will help draw them if we can. The problem is

that people bear the Christian name but act like worldlings and love

the amusements and follies of the world. It is time for a division in

the house of the Lord in which those for Christ go into one camp

and those against Christ go into the other camp. We have been

mixed together too long.”
