Partners In Housing

PIH is an affordable

housing program.

PIH assists families with

children who are

living in an emergency

shelter.

PIH has been serving families for over 9 years.

PIH has provided homes to over

90 families (including 180

children).

• The average cost of one completed project is $12,000 for 2017.

• This covers the purchase of the home, the rehab, insurance and case management for one family.

Family

Eligibility

Criteria

• Families with children who are living in an

emergency shelter.

• Income of at least $1,100 -$1,500 a month.

• Household size is dependent on size of unit

available.

PIH Program Process

1. Comprehensive

Intake

2. Case

Management (at least 9 months)

3. Title gifted to

family

4. Home Ownership

Case ManagementCase Management includes: goal setting, budgeting,

and working with property and maintenance managers.

The title is gifted to the

family after:

• Working with the case manager

• Paying lot rent

and utility bills

• Showing proper homeownership

skills

Volunteer Involvement Phase 1Demo Day

4-6 hours (1 day) 6-8 people

Cleaning

Group of 6 for 6 hours (1-2 days)

• Change all non-working light bulbs

• Gardening/ landscape

• Remove wall plates, hinges and hardware

• Tape for painters

• Prime

Groups of 4-6 for 4 hours (1-2 days)

Painting

Groups of 6 for 6 hours

(2-3 days)

• Paint ceiling

• Paint walls

• Paint cabinets

• Paint doors
