Summary
Adventus’ Buchans Project encompasses a 100% owned,
33,700 hectare package in the prolific Buchans mining camp
located in Newfoundland, Canada.
The historically mined Buchans deposits rank among the world’s
highest grade polymetallic (Zn-Pb-Cu-Au-Ag) VMS deposits,
however, in comparison to other VMS camps worldwide it has
seen limited exploration and research.
From 1927-1984, 16.2 Mt of ore grading 14.51% Zn, 7.56% Pb,
1.33% Cu, 126 g/t Ag and 1.37 g/t Au was mined at Buchans.
Adventus is conducting the first systematic district scale
exploration of the broader camp in modern times.
Easy access and simple logistics
Simple permitting in pro-mining jurisdiction
Low cost exploration
Highly qualified operating team
Geology and Mineralization
The project is entirely underlain by the Ordovician Buchans
Group which comprises a sequence of bimodal volcanic and
volcaniclastic rocks. The calc-alkaline Buchans River Formation
host all of the known massive sulphide deposits within the belt.
Mineralization consists of sphalerite, galena, chalcopyrite, barite
and lesser pyrite. Barite is the most abundant gangue mineral in
the ores and alteration is characterized by quartz-chlorite-sericite
+/- K-feldspar +/- carbonate.
Work Program
The 2014-2016 work programs comprised reconnaissance scale
prospecting and mapping, compilation, soil, rock and till
sampling, re-logging of historical drill core, and 3D integrated
modelling (GOCAD®) of geological and geophysical data. In
2017, an additional 457 claims were staked and an airborne EM
survey was flown over the full property package.
Several base metal bearing alteration zones have been
identified for further follow up with a proposed program of
prospecting, mapping and geophysical surveying (gravity and
TDEM). Compilation of historical work and integration into
GOCAD® to identify additional targets is also ongoing.
Opportunity
In comparison to other VMS camps worldwide Buchans has
seen only modest exploration and research, especially in the
past 25 years.
2014 was the first time in 20 years that large parts of the
Buchans camp were open to staking. Adventus now controls the
largest land position within the belt.
99% of the historic work (drilling) and all mining preceded
recognition of the current structural geology model related to fold
and thrust belt tectonics.
The majority of the historic drill holes are shallow and within
close proximity to the former mine area. All discoveries
happened more than 50 years ago and were shallow discoveries
or extensions of known deposits.
In 2017, the first high resolution airborne survey in >15 years
(including heli-TDEM) was completed on Buchans and
peripheral areas with prospective stratigraphy, which identified
35 drill-ready targets.

TARGET 1 - Horseshoe Pond:
❖ Coincident Cu-Zn soil anomaly over an area of ~100 x
900m.
❖ Outcrop and boulders of altered and mineralized felsic-
mafic volcanics found during prospecting yielded up to
0.46% Zn and 0.45% Cu.
❖ Historic drill hole to the north of the soil anomaly,
intersected 0.71% Cu over 1.5 m.
❖ 1995 UTEM survey over the area yielded several
conductors which were not followed up.
TARGET 2 - Lake 3, 7, 12:
❖ Altered, mineralized “ore horizon” rocks intersected below a
thrust fault.
❖ Area has seen only shallow drilling.
TARGET 3 - McLean East:
❖ Historic drill hole that intersected polylithic debris flow with
ore clast was only drilled +3 metres due to poor recovery.
❖ Another drill hole in the area was surveyed with downhole
EM resulting in an off-hole EM conductor that was not
followed up.
TARGET 4 - Seal Pond:
❖ Alteration zone outlined over an area of at least 0.3 x 6 km.
❖ 13.45% Zn, 0.4% Cu over 0.2m discovered from archived
drill core sampled by Altius in 2015 (ddh SP-05-05).
❖ Coinc. Zn-Cu soil anomaly over an area of ~1,500 x 700 m.
TARGET 5 - Mary March Brook:
❖ Historically documented occurrence of altered, mineralized
felsic volcaniclastic yielding up to 0.46% Zn, 0.07% Cu and
4 g/t Ag (2015 grab sample).
