We are getting set for our first weekend trip and we have 40 skiers signed up for the trip. If you haven’s made a decision about going, you better act fast because we are filling up fast. As of December 5th we have to turn in rooms or pay for them so that is our deadline.
We had a great time at the Quaker Steak & Lube Ski and Snow kickoff. Jane Lutz won our basket. It couldn’t have gone to a more deserving person.
Jane was responsible for putting the baskets together and with the help of her friend Patty she did a great job. Thanks to all the BVSC members who came out to show their support.
Be sure to come to the December meeting to pick up your candy. Money raised from the candy sale will help to subsidize our ski trips.
We are still looking for someone to run a day trip. Anyone interested please let me know ASAP. Without trip leaders we can’t have trips.
We are also looking forward to the Christmas party on Saturday, Decem-ber 8th. The games are always a hit and there will definitely be dancing!
See you there,
Mary

Rest in Peace Herbie
We will always remember his big
smile, great laugh and festive ski
jacket.
Herbie enjoyed life to the fullest es-
pecially when everyone around him
was having a good time.
Herbie was a great skier as he
would zoom down the mountain with
unbelievable style.
We sure will miss him on the slopes
and remember all the great times we
had together on many ski trips.
I believe Herbie is skiing the great
ski resort in Heaven and watching
down on us together with Lee.

Did You Know: As a member of the Beaver Valley Ski Club, you are automatically a member of the Western Pennsylvania Ski Council and the National Ski Council Federation and eligible for all benefits available to all members. The Western Pennsylvania Ski Council is composed of 17 ski clubs from central and western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio. The WPSC sponsors and subsidizes ski events, ski instruction, racing and trips that are open to all Club Members; many at a reduced cost. The WPSC in turn, is a member Council of the National Ski Council Federation (NSCF), which is a federation made up of 30 Ski councils across the country. It serves as a resource to councils and clubs in this ever changing industry and provides information and education for Council and Club officers. Also, since it is a large national organization, it can provide benefits and discounts to its member clubs and councils that wouldn’t be available to a smaller group. See www.wpsc.net and www.skifederation.org. To gain access to the MEMBERS ONLY section of the NSCF, contact one of your board members for the username and password.
