PROGRAM OVERVIEWThe Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering is the ideal program if you are fascinated by technology and enjoy working with people. Industrial engineering professionals frequently spend as much time interacting with other engineers and product users as they do at their desks, making it a dynamic and flexible career path.
Through this program you will gain a breadth of knowledge in many dierent areas, including, but not limited to, advanced manufacturing, distribution/logistics, ergonomics/human factors, modeling/simulation, and sustainable design and development. You can choose free and professional electives to pursue you are of interest.
The curriculum for the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering stresses the application of contemporary tools and techniques in solving engineering problems.
It covers the principal concepts of engineering economics and project management as well as facilities planning, human performance, mathematical and simulation modeling, production control, applied statistics and quality, and contemporary manufacturing production processes, which are applied to solve the challenges presented by the contemporary global economy and environment.
POSSIBLE CAREER OPTIONS Industrial Engineering is one of the fastest growing careers in the world. Industrial Engineers are the only engineering professionals trained as productivity and quality improvement specialists.
As companies adopt management philosophies of continuous productivity and quality improvement to enhance their competitiveness, the need for professionals in this field is growing.
As a graduate of this program you will have the ability to assimilate people, capital, material, equipment and information in an ecient way to manufacture and distribute goods and services with high quality at an optimum cost. These skills will be in high demand, particularly in the UAE as it grows its global logistics hub.
ACCREDITATION The Industrial Engineering program is accredited by the UAE
Ministry of Education - Higher Education Aairs and is licensed
by the KHDA and recognized by the Jordanian Ministry of
Higher Education and Scientific Research. The main program at
RIT is also accredited by ABET.
"My time so far at RIT has been very engaging. The campus and facilities are excellent and there are lots of activities. The most important part of my learning experience at RIT are the courses available for my major and the professors teaching them, which are great. I found the courses to be challenging but with the professor’s support I’ve really developed.
Getting an actual U.S. degree here in Dubai is a fantastic opportunity and I hope to do study abroad semester at the New York campus and some point."

COOPERATIVE EDUCATION (Internship)
By studying at RIT Dubai you'll undertake a 50 week, full-time, paid cooperative internship placement as part of your program. This period will add to your experience both in terms of hardcore engineering and widening your network. Many students end up working for companies with which they conducted their cooperative internship.
