MARMA 1S MICROCOSM

⦿ Marma becomes the microcosm of the body, the same way the body is a microcosm of the universe.

⦿ Each part reflects the whole.⦿ Any disturbance at level of marma

can affect the whole body and any disturbance in body/mind can be reflected in an individual marma.

4

⦿ Marmani are loci of energy, consciousness, awareness, where prana (vitality) is most abundant.

⦿ Meeting points of body, mind, & spirit.

= Defective space, weakened site, where disease lodges (organ, joint, channel, tissue, cell, mind, marma).

• Marma can be a place that holds disease, lack of prana, blockage, stagnation.

• Created through poor diet and lifestyle, repressed emotions, low immunity, low agni, build-up of toxins, genetic predisposition, congenital defect, or past-life karma.

• Marma gata ama- when toxins lodge in marma creates sensitivity and tenderness.

• Marma samprapti (pathogenesis) steps for disease to lodge.• Marma memory- of imbalance held at this point and can be re-triggered and create repetitive kha vaigunya.

GLOBAL HEALING

7

⦿ During this time of the coronovirus pandemic, how can marmani help us with global healing?

⦿ How can we start with microcosm of our own body and self-care of our own marmani?

⦿ Focusing on lungs for respiratory virus to boost immunity & ojas is essential.

⦿ Focusing on heart for balancing our fear, anxiety, stress, and calming the mind is essential.
