Thanks to our members, sponsors and board of directors, 2019 was a very successful year, with both record-setting membership and meeting attendance at six technical meetings held throughout the state. 2019 also marked the return to Key West for our Annual Meeting for the first time since 2011. Our goals for 2020 are to exceed 500 members, distribute more scholarship and grant funding to students and teachers than ever before and assist AWRA National in hosting a successful 2020 Annual Water Resources Conference in Kissimmee in November. However, the coronavirus situation has resulted in cancelled or postponed events, a transition to online webinars and the need to find new creative ways to continue networking opportunities while complying with social distancing. We appreciate continued support from our members and sponsors and look forward to the rest of 2020.
