ARE YOU THIRSTY?

John 7:37–39

✦ And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth - John 1:14

✦ “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” - John 2:19

✦ And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life - John 3:14–15

✦ “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” - John 6:35

CONDITION

Jeremiah 2:13“for my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.”

The condition for receiving salvation is to be thirsty for

God.

ACTION

The action for receiving salvation is to consume and be consumed with

Jesus.

RESULTS

YOU WILL BE SAVED

1 Corinthians 10:1–4For I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, and all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ.

YOU WILL BE SATISFIED

Isaiah 44:3“for I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.”

Nehemiah 9:15You gave them bread from heaven for their hunger and brought water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and you told them to go in to possess the land that you had sworn to give them.

Nehemiah 9:19–20You in your great mercies did not forsake them in the wilderness. The pillar of cloud to lead them in the way did not depart from them by day, nor the pillar of fire by night to light for them the way by which they go. You gave them your good Spirit to instruct them and did not withhold your manna from their mouth and gave them water for their thirst.

Whoever eats of the bread of Jesus,

whoever drinks of the water of Jesus,

whoever follows the light of Jesus, will be satisfied by the Holy

Spirit.

John 14:16–17“I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him or knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

YOU WILL HAVE A PURPOSE

You will become a conduit of

living water for God.

Isaiah 58:11And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
