Architects’ Oath

(name), of (school graduated from with professional degree), hereby

do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of

the [State/Commonwealth] of (state), and of the Federal Republic of

the United States of America; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the

same; that I will obey the laws, legal orders, and executive orders

promulgated by the Governor of (state) and the President of the United

States; and that I impose this obligation upon myself voluntarily without

mental reservation or personal invasion; I further solemnly swear that at all

times and places, I will adhere to the ethical and professional rules accepted

by the architecture profession in the United States; and that I will faithfully

discharge, to the best of my ability, the duties of a legally registered

architect; I further solemnly swear, to the best of my ability and judgement,

this covenant; that I will respect all existing remnants of the history of our

nation concerning architecture; that I will be abreast of the health, safety,

and welfare of the client and the public; that I will be environmentally

conscious in this profession, for which I am about to enter. So help me God.
