MEETINGS3rd Wednesday of the month at Bayshore Catholic Center

Dear Friends,

As President of The Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 2 Monmouth County, it is a pleasure to extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to all those sharing our 21st Annual Dinner Dance this evening. It is during events such as this, we take great pride in honoring two of our own:

Mike Ryan - Hibernian of the YearKevin Guerin - Irishman of the Year

Through their exemplary efforts, Division #2 has succeeded beyond all expectations in the past year. For this we say Thank You.

The Ancient Order of Hibernians was founded one hundred and seventy six years ago and is the oldest Catholic Lay Organization in the United States. The motto, Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity, we hold as strong today as our forefathers held then. We the members of Division #2 are now entering our 21st year. We are confident that those in attendance this evening join our plight for the freedom to preserve and promote the rich tradition of our ancestral home of Ireland.

Division #2 would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the committee who worked diligently at making this evening a success, to all the generous people who have taken part in our annual journal, and to you our public support system.

Thank You,

Jack Sullivan President

Past Irishmen of the Year

Monmouth 2 established a tradition of recognizing outstanding members of the Division soon after the Division was first formed in 1990. In 2000, the Division created the Irishman of the Year award to honor both AOH members and members of the Irish community who are not Hibernians. This year's honorees join a long list of distinguished men who have come before them.
