As a woman, Celie suffers a lot from male

characters’ oppression and underestimation. She

experiences a very dreadful life

As a Black, Celie is discriminated by Whites. It is

showed how her family as a victim of Lynching

Her success of being independent is influenced by

her good relationship among women in her society.
