The  Wai(ng  Room    

Wai(ng  (me  is    

Wasted  (me.  

When  we’re  wai(ng:  •  We  resent  others  •  We  race  ahead  •  We  rage  at  God  

God:  Why  me?  

Where  are  you?  What’s  the  point?  Don’t  you  love  me?  

Advent:    The  Church’s    Wai(ng  Room.    

John  the  Bap(st  

“When  John  heard    in  prison  what  the  

Messiah  was  doing,  he  sent  word  by  his  

disciples…”    MaIhew  11:2  

“And  they  said  to  him,  ‘Are  you  the  one  who  is  to  come,  or  are  we  to  wait  for  another?”

“When  Jesus  heard  that  John  had  been  put  in  prison,  he  withdrew  

to  Galilee.”    MaIhew  4:12

When  we’re  awai(n’,    God  ain’t  a  ha(n’.  

Even  when  we  wait,    God’s  love  is  s(ll  great.  

“And  blessed  is  anyone  who  takes  no  

offense  at  me.”  

When  the  wai(ng  is  rough,    

is  God’s  love    enough?
