Adding a New DocumentHow to add and manage documents on myRM.info

Document Management

u The new myRM template has built in document management. Documents are created in a two step process (currently)

u 1. Upload the media and

u 2. Create a ’document’ and link the media file to it.

u Documents management allows you to select categories and document type

u Any number of display options are available. If you wish to explore them, please contact Aj for additional training.

Hover over +NEW from the black menu bar at the top of the pageu This will open the dashboard page to add new media to your site

Select MEDIA from the dropdown menu

Selecting any item from the +NEW menu will open the appropriate Dashboard page.

Select PDF files from your hard drive or navigate to a file in your media library

Copy the file URL

Now select NEW and Document from the menu bar.

Title your document and provide details.

• Be sure to select EXTERNAL URL under FILE LOCATION

• Paste the URL location that you copied from the media file in the appropriate location.

Select an icon to identify to file type.

u Select PDF from the drop down menu to indicate a PDF file - do not upload WORD or other unsecure media please.

u You can provide a short description in the excerpts section.

u Then scroll up and select existing document categories or add a new one

Select category and Publish

You can view and edit all posts from the dashboard at any time.
