UNISDR launched a campaign to raisepublic awareness and to create a demandfor safe schools and hospitals.

The campaign message is

Make a Pledge, Save a Life.

Objectives of the Campaign

To raise public awareness and create a demandfor safe schools and hospitals that will:

Protect the lives of school children and thesick by ensuring that proper safety measures

are installed; Assure the continuity of the functions of

hospitals and health facilities in the treatment of the sick, and provide safe places in schools

at all times; Improve the risk reduction capacity of all

stakeholders of schools, hospitals and healthfacilities.

Everyone is encouraged to pledge online tomake schools and hospitals safer especiallybefore a disaster strikes.

by individualsor institutions.
