AbouttheBandSteepedinthetraditionofthemastersbutforgingaheadwithastyleallitsown,“ShannonGunnandtheBullettes”isthenewall-star,all-womenjazzensemblebasedoutoftheD.C.area.Laidbackbuthardswinging,theBullettesbringallgenerationstogethertoenjoyadynamiteperformance.

TheBullettesbeganasa“dream”ofShannonGunn,tromboneplayerandgraduateoftheGeorgeMasonUniversityMastersinJazzStudiesprogram.TheirfirstCDrelease,afivesongEP,wastheproductofasuccessfulKickstartercampaign.Sincethen,theBulletteshavereleasedthreeadditionalEPsandcontinuetowowaudiencesandperformbothswing,originals,andstraightaheadjazzchartsforaudiencesyoungandold.

TheBullettesareamusicalorganizationthatupliftswomeninjazz,createsnetworkingopportunities,andprovidesapositiverolemodelforaspiringjazzmusiciansintheDCarea.Theyareavailableasafullsixteenpiecebigband,anoctet,aseptetincludingsinger,quintet,orduo/trioforsmallervenues.TheBullettesareavailableforconcerts,masterclasses,andeducationalperformances.
