Getting Started

• Start web browser, such as Internet Explorer

• Type abi for the url, if you are on a district-connected computer, or https://abi.lmusd.org/

• Type Username, Password, and select your School. Then click login.

Steps to Your Students’ Grades• Add Class Subjects to the Gradebook or Grade

Level• Set up Final Marks (Letter Grade/Percentages)• Set up Option to Show Marks• Add Students• Add Assignment Types (Report Card

Subheadings under Subjects)• Add Assignments with Standards• Enter Scores• Create Reports• Upload Grades to the Report Card

Go to the Gradebook

Click on Grades, then Gradebook.

No Existing Gradebook

Click Here to Add a Gradebook and Get Started.

Set Up A Gradebook

Pd = Period Term = Y (Year) Grade

Description = Subject ( Math, Reading, Writing, Spelling, PE, Music, Art, SS, Science, etc.)

Start Date & End Date = 8 Digit format, 08/21/2006 & 11/09/2006

Click Apply Changes.

Add All of the Subjects or Master Gradebook

Click on Edit Gradebooks and then Add New.

Multiple Subject Gradebook

Options, Current Gradebook, Show Overall Mark, Submit Changes

Add Students

Click on Enters/Leaves. Then Click on Students Need to be Added to these Gradebooks.

Low Assng & High Assng

New Student – Enter First Assignment # for the Low Assignment ( Ex. #4)

Student Left – Enter Last Assignment # for the High Assignment ( Ex. #29)

Click on Submit Changes button.

Add Students

• Click on Add All Students, or Individually Click Add or Type A for Each of Your Students.

• Then Click Submit Changes.

Set Up Grading Scale

Click on Final Marks.

Enter the % and Click Apply Changes. Then return to Edit Gradebooks.

Choose A Gradebook

Click on Edit Assignment Types.

To Weight or Not to Weight

Click Here for Weighted Scoring.

Add Assignment Types

Assignment type = subheadings/standards for the subject

* The Assignment Code is the User’s Choice. *

Click on Edit Assignments

Click on Add New Assignment.

Assignment Info1. Choose the type of Assignment.

2. Write the Title of the Assignment under Description.

3. Max Score = Max Points Possible

4. Grading Cmpltd = Check once all scores have been entered to be included in students’ Grades.

5. Document Link = url to Assignment Document.

6. Comments = Detailed Assignment Info for Parents to View.

7. Be sure to select the Standard(s) under Progress Toward Standards so that the points from the assignment will count for that standard and/or subject.

Enter Scores

• Scores by Class

• Scores by Student

• Scores by Assignment

How to Navigate to Post Scores• Tab = Move to the Right

• Shift + Tab = Move to the Left

• Up and Down Arrows = Up and Down

Exempt Scores?If a Student’s Score is Not to be Included in the

Final Grade, then Type NA, and the Assignment’s Max Points will Become 0. This Assignment Will Not Affect the Student’s Overall Grade.

If Grading Compltd is not selected assignments are not factored into students’ overall grades.

If the Assignment Type is left blank, the assignment will not be counted in any students final grade.

Scores by Student

View a Single Student’s Scores for each assignment.

Scores by Assignment

Enter all students’ scores for a particular assignment.

Mass Info

• At the Bottom of the Scores by Assignment Form , you can click on Default to Mass Change Data Displayed, such as Points earned on an assignment, date due, Max Score, Comment, etc. For ex., to give all students 10 pts.* If Overwrite Existing is not checked, then Only

blanks or 0 scores will be changed.

Scores by Class

View Class scores for multiple assignments.

Create Reports• Show Grade Summary• Missing Assignments• Only Students with Missing

Assignments• Only Students with Grade %

Below __• Only Students with Grade %

Above __• Page Break on Each Student• Report Comment to Print• Parent Signature Line

Print a Progress Report for a Specific Student in a Particular Subject.
