Master Shot

Master Wide Shot:

Start with a wide shot of the whole stage/performance space. In terms of mise en scene, the band will be wearing the same coloured clothes e.g. black shirt and trousers and the lead singer wears something slightly different e.g. black trousers white shirt... The room/performers will be brightly lit with spotlights.

(***The lead singer will be in the final shot in the middle - it was hard to draw the drummer in the centre and the singer in the same place. The wide shot is to mainly show the band as a whole***)

Close Up

Close up:

Cut to a close up of the drummer playing. (Possible a Point Of View {P.O.V} shot looking onto the drum being played). The drummer will be playing to the song and the action will be ‘synced’ with the drums in the song (like lip-syncing a singer)

Mid-Shot

Mid-shot:

Cut to a close up of the singer holding a microphone when the vocals start Line: ‘Give me a second i, need to get my story straight…’ The first ‘mid-shot’ of a performers face will be of the singer. This is to show the audience that the singer is important and learn who they are (by sight)...

Close Up

Close up:

Cut to a close up of the piano players hands. In this shot, a spotlight could be faces towards the camera. With the correct focus, zoom and aperture settings, a glare effect would be achieved.

Mid-shot/Close Up:

Cut back to the singer singing the rest of the verse. This time the shot will be a close up. At various points, snippets of the piano and rum performance will be inserted.

Long/Wide Shot

Long/Wide Shot:

Wide shot slowly zooming in at the start of the chorus.

Cut to an extreme close up of the guitar/bass player showing the body of the guitar.

Cut back to the singer. Start with this long shot slowly zooming - becoming a mid shot.

Brief mid shot of the piano player showing the chorus being played.

Cut to the guitarist/bassist. Briefly show some of what they are doing.

In the second verse and chorus, the shots could be more ‘experimental’ and contain some more silhouette effects alike the piano ‘lens flare’ effects explained at the start. the silhouette effect could be achieved by standing the singer in front of a bright light and facing the camera into the light (with the singer blocking the lights centre) - casting a shadow...

Long Shot

Long shot of the drummer performing. The shot could zoom out slowly (contrasting from the ‘zooming in’ at in the first half of the video)

Close Up

Include some close ups of equipment - Possibly cut into the same shot angle but an extreme close up - panning across the amplifier settings.

Extreme Close up:

In the final chorus/outro, have some extreme close ups of the singer with the microphone...

Close up:

Cut to a close up of the guitar/bass fret board. A fish eye lens could be used on a DSLR camera to create a warping effect.

Mid Shot

Mid Shot:

Mid shot of the guitar/bassist playing. This shot will be short before cutting back to the lead singer mid shots.

Master Shot

Master Shot:

Finish with the master ‘wide’ shot, this time zooming and fading to black.
