The Rev. Robert F. Oates and Mrs. Oates accepted the call toWarrenPlains and moved to the pastorium on August 15, 1964. Mr.Oateswas from Cleveland County, North Carolina. He was pastor of achurch in Del Rio, Tennessee before going to SoutheasternSeminary. He attended Gardner Webb College and also CarsonNewmanCollege in Jefferson, Tennessee receiving his B.D. degree.Mr. Oates resigned February 14, 1967 to go to the First Church ofHenderson as Minister of Education.

Rev. Delbert Burnette,wife, Billie and Family

The Rev. Delbert M. Burnette and Mrs. Burnette came to WarrenPlains April 14. 1967. He was born in Florida June 7, 1933. He at-tended Maratte Junior College, Brandenton. Florida and RoanokeCollege in Salem, Virginia. He was pastor of Butte Baptist Church,Palmer, Alaska. They have two sons. Mr. Burnette resigned Novem-ber 16, 1969.

Baptist ministry at the FirstBaptist Church of York, in 1961.He served as pastor of the DelRio Baptist Church, Del Rio,Tenn., from 1962-64,and as pas-tor of Warren Plains BaptistChurch, near Warrenton, from1964-67.He presently is servingas minister of education at theFirst Baptist Church of Hen-derson.Mrs. Oates is the former
