currently in the fourth of nine levels of evolution…

McLarenMcLaren states: “I am trying, with Ken Wilbur’s

help, to make it clear that I believe there is something

above and beyond the current alternatives of

modern fundamentalism & absolutism and pluralistic

relativism.”

Of Wilbur’s book, Rob Bell says: “Read that book for three months.”

McLaren says: “Thanks to Wilbur’s book I have an

understanding of the world and where theology is going.”

That instead of offering Himself as a once-for-all sacrifice for the sins of mankind, Jesus dies to prove to the human race that God is not angry with them, that He loves them pretty much as they are, and that there is no need to repent.

Rob Bell says that “repentance is not turning from sin. It is a ‘celebration’ of life in Christ.” He further stated that anyone who tells you that you need to repent is not talking about Christianity.

The Lord Jesus Christ Himself (Matthew 4:17; 9:13) weren’t

preaching what we understand as Christianity either!

To come to his conclusion, Bell Bell has to ignore all of the New Testament evidence that repentance is turning from sin and turning to Christ alone in faith.

He also has to ignore the Jewish doctrine of repentance which was turning from sin to turn to God.

On INSPIRATION and INTERPRETATION of THE BIBLERob BellRob Bell says "The Bible is a collection of stories that teach us about what it looks like when God is at work through actual people. He is clearly teaching false doctrine.
