• Only 3 sports (athletics, cycling,
swimming) brought back medals
• 19 athletes won the 29 medals
• 12 athletes finished in the top 8, 3
World Records, 2 Paralympic Records
• The team finished 17th on the medal
table.

• Teams performances at the Games were good
• More work needs to be done to ensure that the
country does not slip in terms of Rio 2016

which will improve participation and demograhics.

Games daily.

approximately 185 000 downloads of the app
• MIXIT partnership we had over 1 million followers
providing messages of support and congratulations to
athletes
• Team SA Twitter (19000) and Facebook (19000)

the Games
• www.sascocimages.co.za over 600 000 hits
