3rd RAFI Triennial Awards Book

DESCRIPTION

The RAFI Triennial Awards for Exemplary Individual and Institution is a search for the true heroes of our times, and a recognition of exceptional individuals and institutions who have uplifted the lives of our less privileged and marginalized communities in the Visayas and Mindanao. It directs us to look for a goldmine of Filipino leaders, who literally are a G.E.M - who are "Going through the Extra Mile" - to create a world where people can live in the spirit of justice, peace, and love. On this third cycle of the Triennial Awards, a total of 93 nominations were received, and notably, the nominations from Mindanao have also increased. As with the previous first and second cycle of the awards, a new Search Committee, composed of representatives from the academe, civil society organizations, the media, and the business community, was formed to select the best from among the nominees.
