OverviewThe use of pelvic MRI in routine clinical practice is growing rapidly, mainly due to the extensive evidence supporting its clinical value and expanding clinical indications. This hands-on course will offer the opportunity to learn or brush up on fundamental rectal MRI skills. Short lectures and whole-case reviews on individual workstations will demonstrate the pearls and pitfalls in the evaluation of rectal MRI performed for staging and follow-up evaluations.
Target Audience
This educational activity is designed for practicing radiologists, radiologists in training, and anyone with an interest in pelvic MRI.
Educational Objectives • Understand how to perform high-quality MRI of the
pelvis for rectal cancer evaluation
• Understand how to interpret baseline staging MRI for rectal cancer
• Understand how to interpret posttreatment restaging MRI for rectal cancer
• Understand the value of synoptic/templated reports for rectal cancer

OverviewInternational thought leaders will provide up-to-date information regarding optimal care for patients with nonmetastatic colon cancer. Advances in imaging, neoadjuvant therapies, surgical techniques, and tumor profiling are leading to opportunities for greater personalization of treatment. One of the challenges faced by clinical practitioners and healthcare organizations is timely integration of these important innovations, often developed at specialty centers, into day-to-day clinical practice in the community setting, closer to where patients live.
With multidisciplinary expert panel discussions of real-life clinical scenarios and interactive audience participation, this symposium will examine key decision points in the management of nonmetastatic colon cancer. Attendees will learn how to tailor care to the unique needs of their patients and appreciate the value of interdisciplinary partnerships for optimizing outcomes.

Rona D. Yaeger, MD Assistant Attending PhysicianDepartment of Medicine Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
Target Audience
This symposium will help oncologists, surgeons, gastroenterologists, pathologists, and other oncology care team members acquire clinically relevant, cutting-edge knowledge and translate it into best practices.
Educational Objectives • Update participants on the latest developments in
screening for colon cancer
• Improve understanding of epidemiologic trends, causes, and treatment considerations specific to young-onset colon cancer
• Increase familiarity with current approaches to improving the quality of surgery and optimizing colon cancer outcomes
• Bring participants up to date on risk stratification and the use of adjuvant therapy for nonmetastatic colon cancer
