Example  of  connection  between  Esa  dongle  and  SeaTalk  converter

• esa dongle  Wi-­‐Fi,  is  protected  against  reverse  polarity,  is  not  waterproof,  it’s    easy  to  be  connected  to  the  equipment  of  the  boat,  it  uses  the  data  in  NMEA  0183  format.

• It  should  be  installed  in  an  area  where  there  are  no  shield  for  data  transmission  signal  to  antenna  of  the  the    receiving  Apple  device.  Test  the  stability  of  the  Wi-­‐Fi  connection  in  various  positions  to  before  completing  the  mounting.

• the  DONGLE’s  output  wires  have  the  following  functions  and  connections:

N.B-­‐ esa app  only  works  with  GAMP  esa or  esa dongle  .  It  sends  data  NMEA0183  via  Wi-­‐Fi.-­‐ Di  seguito per  I collegamenti illustrati al  GAMP  di  Astra  Yacht  si applicano per  il dongle  le  stesse regole collegando

• Install  GAMP  in  a  place  where  there  is  no  data  transmission  shield  from  the    antenna  to  receiver  apple  device.Please  test  range  and  connection  stability  before  final  installation

•GAMP  out  wires  have  the  following  functions:

WARNING:  If  the  instruments  on  board  using  a  protocol  other  than  NMEA  0183,  you  must  use  a  "translator";It  will  be  necessary,  for  example,  for  instrumentation  and  Raymarine NKE,  or  in  case  the  instrumentation  is  NMEA  2000.

Sometimes  the  Wi-­‐Fi  transmission  may  disturb  the  GPS,  if  the  GAMP  Wi-­‐Fi  is  positioned  in  the  vicinity  of  the  GPS  antenna:  check  and  possibly  remove  the  two  devices  together,  1  meter  of  separation  is  generally   sufficient.
