Who Are We?
K~8th Grade Feeder Lacrosse System for the Children in the DVRHS Sending Districts Founded by Brent Kephart and friends in 2001Now in our eleventh season we are 175 members strong10 Grade Specific TeamsPractice and play our home games at Alexandria ParkPlay within the Competitive NJJGLL and NJJLLMembers of US Lacrosse (National Governing Body of our Sport)Volunteer Run Organization (both Board and Coaching Staff) We Honor the Game

Long Term Goal of Chargers
1. Win State Championships at DVRHS
2. Inspire Student/Athletes to play at higher levels by teaching them to love the game of Lacrosse
3. Continue to balance the needs of all our players beginner and elite

Guiding Principles
1. Prioritize the needs of the youth, lead by example and exercise patience in teaching the sport
2. Provide the opportunity to participate in the sport at a reasonable cost
3. Develop all around athletes/good citizens in the community
4. To provide for the players’ safety at all times. This includes but is not limited to coaching, conditioning, equipment, and facilities

1. Indoor Practice Space at Powertime Sports in Flemington NJ during March.
2. Buddy Styx Program for Children with Special Needs April 22 & May 20. Linda Adams and Brent Kephart
3. Cleat Exchange Program to recycle gently used cleats to our membership. Tammy Unkert
4. Chargers Cup – Year long competition within organization to promote Chargers philosophy. Rich Kastenschmidt
5. IMPACT Testing available for 7th and 8th Grades. John Malaspina

6. In an effort to help our Coaches focus on player and team development and eliminate game day confusion. We are requesting that every Team have the following prior to first game or the season won’t start for that team!

IMPACT TestingJohn Malaspina
• IMPACT Test is a neurological test taken prior to concussion to establish a baseline prior to an injury
• In the event of an injury a second impact test is taken and results are compared by a Doctor
• The results will help show the severity of the concussion and determine the proper time taken off before returning to play
• Online test taken in comfort of your own home on your own computer
• Not mandatory but it is recommended for all 7th and 8th grade athletes.
• Test is being offered free of charge

• I need volunteers. Each team will be giving me at least one name
(that’s 10). 12 week season must paint 10 times plus big effort leading up to Ice Bowl 4/28 & 4/29.
• Fields is always looking for help to keep our lines painted. Great way to get some exercise and a great tan!
Concessions JoAnn Apgar
• Work duty schedule coming soon• Will work with Team Coordinator to confirm work duty (1~2 hrs) for
upcoming weekend games• Ice Bowls require 7th Grade Boy Parents and 5/6th Grade Girl Parents
to work• Ice Bowls always require extra volunteers if you are available
