191014 is the postal code which I used for all my mail while living in the central district of Saint Petersburg. I lived there for almost three years but I didn’t actually know anything about the area. The space of the streets for me has always been provided with bare functions - a house which has a roof to live under, a grocery store to buy food in, people to show the right direction to, but more often just to be carefully passed by. I began wandering about the streets around my house with the camera. I took pictures. I created a comforting illusion that this place is familiar to me.
