IEEE Computer Society is bringing its 16 journals to the IEEE Publications Dept. for complete production starting Jan. 2014– 14 Magazines stay with Computer Society
3 professional staff will transfer to Pubs Dept. but continue to work from California
Is latest collaboration between the 2 groups– Computer Society Digital Library is now supported from the
IEEE Xplore Platform
– CS was already was using Scholar One for manuscript submission and peer review

CS decision benefits ALL Societies*:Increase in articles produces economies of scale that allow Pubs. Dept. to lower 2014 rate to $33.25, 25% lower than rate approved by PSPB in Feb. 2013– *All societies that use Pubs Dept. services

The IEEE Future Directions Cloud Computing Initiative established an IEEE InterCloud Testbed community.
Serves as a standards-based cloud environment for creating and testing cloud-to-cloud protocols.
Will support draft IEEE P2302, a “Standard for InterCloud Interoperability and Federation.”
