WHAT IS ENTREPRENEURSHIP?• The word “entrepreneur” is derived from French
“entreprendre” (:antro-prand) meaning “to undertake”
• An entrepreneur is an innovator/developer who recognizes opportunities; converts those opportunities into workable/marketable ideas; adds value through time, effort, money or skills; assumes risks of the competetive market place to implement those ideas; and realizes rewards from these efforts.
