1.  INSTALLING ODI

STEP 1: Go to the install folder of ODI Installation and double click setup.exe

STEP 2: Once STEP 1 is performed you will see the below given screen, Click Next

STEP 3: Once you get below given screen select option Oracle Data Integrator 10.1.3.5.0

STEP 4: Once you see the below given screen select option Complete (281MB)

STEP 5: Once you see the below given screen, select the directory to install ODI.

STEP 6: Now Select Install and double click it.

STEP 7: Once ODI Starts installation it displays the screen as below:

STEP 8: Once ODI is done installing, we see the End of Installation Screen.

Check that the installation has completed successfully.

  Create two users in Oracle as snpm and snpw and Grant CONNECT and RESOURCE

privileges to them.

  Go to Start  Oracle Oracle Data Integrator  Repository Management  Master 

Repository Creation 

  Enter the fields as shown in screenshot

  Once all required details are entered click OK , repository will be created. Process will

somewhat look as below

  When the Master repository creation is done

Go to Start  Oracle Oracle Data Integrator  Topology Manager

  Now go to Repositories tab and Right click on Work Repositories.

  Out of displayed options click on Insert Work Repository option as below

  After this we can see the below given screen

  In definition tab fill in the details regarding enter:

Name: WORKREP

  Once all this is been filled then go to JDBC tab.

  Fill the Driver and URL details in the JDBC tab as shown and then Test it.

  JDBC Driver : oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver  

  JDBC Url: jdbc:oracle:thin:@<host>:<port>:<sid> 

  Then you will see the below given screen

  Enter ID as 1.

  Now Click OK.

  Now click on the designer icon on the upper left hand side of the screen as shown in

screenshot.
