17.12 : Lighting and Ventilation For Habitable Rooms and Kitchen
Minimum Aggregate Area of Opening : 1/10th of room area
In Konkan Regions: Minimum Aggregate Area of Opening : 1/6th of room area
No portion of room shall be assumed to be lighted if it is more than 7.5m. from the opening.
Additional depth beyond 7.5m. may be permitted subject to provision of proportionate increase in opening.

19.3.2 and 19.3.3 : Exit Requirement Occupant Load
For determining the exits required the number of persons within any floor area or the occupant load shall be based on the actual number of occupants but in no case less than that specified in Table 10.
Capacity of Exits: The capacity of exits indicating the number of persons
that could be safely evacuated through a unit exit width of 500mm shall be as given in Table 11.
