Human Work…

The duty to maintain and promote one’s life demands the obligation to work.

Work is a creative process to produce for his provision (Agapay, 1991).

Human Work…

It promotes both mental and physical well-being.

The aim of work is not merely for personal, it is also communitarism and interhuman.

Human Work…

Food, clothing and other basic needs are not confined to the producers alone, but are sold out to others.

Agapay perceives work as the legitimate use of our mental and bodily power for economic gain and profit.

7 KEY POINTS OF HUMAN WORK

By: Pope John Paul II

1. Through work, people can participate in the same creative actions as God.

2. Most attention should be paid to the worker than to the work they do, as people are centrally important.

3. Work is sometimes a heavy burden. “With the hard work of your hands, you will get your bread till you go back to the earth from which you were taken.”(Genesis 3:19)

4. Work is essential to family life, as it provides income and education.

5. Work should be awarded appropriately.

6. Work unites people and builds communities.

7. “We inherit the work of generations before us and we share in the building of the future.”
