Seed Coat is the hard covering

of a seed.

The seed coat protects the seed.

STEM

A stem brings water and nutrients to the leaves.

ROOTS

Roots hold the flower in the ground.

Roots also bring water and nutrients to the stem.

LEAVES

Leaves use air, water and energy from light to

make food for the plant.

FLOWER

A Flower makes seeds. Seeds can grow into new

plants.

FRUIT

Fruit grows from flowers.

Fruit is also sweet and has seeds inside of it .

Fruit is also good for you.

POLLEN

Pollen is a powder found in flowers.

SEEDLING

Seedling is a baby plant.

GERMINATE

Germinate means that a plant begins to grow.
