Leveraging The Audience of Brands & Celebrities to Promote

Content

Marcus TaylorDirector of Venture Harbour

A bit of context…(+ some embarrassing photos)

Being an Artist Taught Me The ValueOf Leveraging Other People’s Audiences.

My first successful blog postRetweeted by 20+ EMI Twitter accounts

This taught me…

If you say something nice about a brand on Twitter, they’ll probably RT you.

(Brands invest a lot of time & money in PR – if you give it to them for free…)

This taught me…

If you say something nice about a brand in comparison to their competitors (in a non-aggressive way) they’re even more

likely to RT you (at least).

This taught me…

If you say something nice about a brand in comparison to their competitors (in a non-aggressive way), using hard & indisputable data to back up your point, you’re basically guaranteed that they’ll share your content.

Since 2009 I’ve used this tactic time & time again in various

niches.

In Fact…

This doesn’t just work with brands. If you create content that supports a person’s (or a group’s) opinion about something, they’re likely to use it like propaganda.

The Result…

If you want to leverage a big brand / celebrity to share your content…

Create something that makes them look good – or proves something they

believe in correct.

THANK YOU
