HP90High Efficiency Fluorescent
Quality lighting is less about the quantity of light and more about the aspects of a lighted environment that make people feel good about themselves.
HP90 offers a variety of integrated technologies – from standard T5 ballast, bi-level ballast, daylight sensing, occupancy sensing, and conventional dimming to iGEN systems – to create a space where the illumination is people friendly and a plus to the ergonomic environment while saving energy.
THE SOLUTION
• Translucent linear prismatic lens• Softly contoured body• Volumetric lighting• High efficiency

Bright and dark areas, busy in appearance.
Before (with Parabolic Troffers)
The ProblemThe sharp cut-off that provides controlled lighting also creates scalloping on the walls and darkness above a certain height. This creates a cave effect and gives the occupants a feeling of enclosure. The darkness on the walls also creates a sharp contrast between the self luminous screen of a computer or printed material which require higher illumination levels. This sharp variation in contrast contributes to eye fatigue in the work place.
After (with HP90)
The SolutionBecause of the higher efficiency and the broad distribution of the HP90 you can use fewer fixtures in some applications and get equal footcandle levels with better uniformity. As a typical example note the results of reducing the fixtures from 18 to 15 by replacing the center 4 fixtures ( ) with one at the center of the room ( ).

LEEDLeadership in Energy and Environmental Design
LEED is a program by the US Green Buildings Council to lower energy consumption in new or existing buildings and promote environmental responsibility in building design. (LEED based tax deductions are available in many regions.)
LEED credits for lighting are based on a percentage of energy saved below the level established by ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1 Currently 1.3 watts per square foot.
LEED credits are given for energy reduction for the entire project. Lighting accounts for about 50% of the energy in buildings constructed prior to 1986 and 30% in newer buildings.
LEED Certification Goals
Levels of accomplishment have been established by a point system giving numerical credits for various achievements in the building design.

Wireless Luminaire Control
iGEN Smart Vision (DALI) for HP90 with the ULM Module
The ULM Module
The Universal Light and Motion (ULM) Module sensor integrates with recessed lighting fixtures.
The ULM Module
The ULM Module clamps to the ceiling “T” bar and then the fixture is dropped in place. The same ULM Module will fit either standard or slot grid ceilings. Plug-in quick connectors are used for electrical connection of module to fixture.
The ULM Module
Housing encloses electrical connections — line or low voltage. Tile is notched and dropped in place.
