Deciduous trees loose their leaves all at once.

Evergreens loose their leaves a little at the time and stay green year round. Ex. pines

Structure of Broadleaf Trees:

crown – bushy head formed by leaves at top

trunk – main stem have woody stem

bark – rough protective layer of stem, branches, and sometimes roots

Some are decorative hardwoods = dogwood, magnolia
