Started by doing freelance camera operating

work and floor directing for WKNO-TV

(PBS) after high school.

AND

Was a reporter for the independent school

newspaper at The University of

Memphis, The Daily Helmsman.

RECENTLY

I worked at a

in New Hampshire

I learned different Enterprise Resourcing

Planning software like MAS 500 and

managed several spreadsheets.

I also learned about effective business

communications as I collected receivables.

I collected nearly 80 percent of a large

receivable account in about a month and

half.

Talk about learning hardcore analytics…

Back last

Semester

I worked as a reporter for a hyper-local

blog called MicroMemphis.

I investigated stories from the community

and research them from social media tools

like twitter as well as walking around and

talking to people in the neighborhood.

I had two social media marketing internships:

1.) Social Media Marketing intern for a Log Home Mortgage Company

2.) PR Intern Young Avenue Sound, a local recording studio.

*Side note: I was also a teaching assistant for a broadcast journalism course, and founded a Social Media Club on campus

Then ended the semester with a 3.5 GPA.

This time

around…

I’m a web intern for Action News 5 (WMC-

TV, Raycom Media) and work directly with

our online news producer.

Things I do:

• Rewrite broadcast news scripts

• Write original scripts

• Pull news from the AP wire

• Use social media platforms

• Managed the website completely alone

before

As a Social Media Marketing Intern for

Howell-Marketing Strategies

Things I do:

• Manage facebook accounts

• Manage Twitter accounts

• Monitor, post schedule tweets

• Work on social media campaigns

• Develop strategies

• Write copy for clients

• Work directly with clients (law

firms, architect firms, doctors

offices, and other local

businesses.)

At the University of Memphis Center for

Earthquake Research and Information, I am a

public relations and social media intern. I

primarily work on a blog - with wordpress.com -

and newsletters.

Also, I have written press releases and worked

on their social media presence.

And still

every day
