Andorra (amtlich Principat d’Andorra ‚Fürstentum Andorra‘) ist ein Kleinstaat in den östlichen Pyrenäen zwischen Spanien

und Frankreich.Andorra wurde am 8. September 1278

gegründet und ist heute der Fläche nach der größte unter den sechs europäischen

Zwergstaaten (Mikrostaaten). Es ist das einzige Land der Welt, in dem zwei

ausländische Amtsträger zusammen die Funktion des Staatsoberhauptes

wahrnehmen (der Bischof von Urgell und der Präsident von Frankreich). Somit

handelt es sich um eine Doppelherrschaft (Biarchie)
