Synopsis

Elizabeth Allen was the daughter of Mrs. Allen and Mr. Allen. She was a very beautiful,

smart, and rich girl. The only thing she lacked of is morality. Being an only child in the family, she

grew to be a spoiled and unsociable person. All of her homeschooling teacher and her babysitter,

Ms. Scott, complained about how naughty she was. Not being able to bear her behaviors any longer,

her parents decided to send her to a boarding school called Whyteleafe.

Whyteleafe was a very fine school, all children loved it, except Elizabeth. She would rather

stay at home playing with her pet Ponies and Birdies instead of studying in a school full of other

students that she was not fond of. Wanting to get out of school as soon as possible, she came out

with an idea to make herself get expelled She decided to become the naughtiest student in the

school so she would get thrown out of the school and go back home to start home-schooling again.

In her attempt on doing so, she met some obstacles on her way. Nora, one of the prefect of

the girls in the school, did not let Elizabeth get out of the troubles that she made so easily. She made

Elizabeth wear the right uniform, get out of bed on the right time, and put all of her things in the

right place. Elizabeth could not stand being near her, but she had no choice but to obey the rules

that Nora had made if she did not want to suffer the bitter consequences.

Then she met a lonely girl named Joan, who never received a letter from her parents no

matter how many times she wrote to them. Elizabeth felt much sympathy for Joan. She had tried to

cheer Joan up and be her friends, but being labelled as the naughtiest girl in her school did not help

her accomplish much of what she wanted to obtain, including being friends with Joan. But Elizabeth

did not give up. She kept trying to make Joan open up to her by sharing her stories about her

previous life before she came to the boarding school. She admitted to Joan that she was only

pretending to be naughty just so she could get expelled and go home. Joan believed her and they

soon became the best of friends after Joan realised how nice Elizabeth really was.

But even though Joan knew that Elizabeth was actually a nice girl, the other people did not.

Plus, Elizabeth had not stopped trying to be the naughtiest kid in the school. Finally, when the time

of the large meeting of students had arrived, the other students told the judges that Elizabeth had

been a very bad girl, and she deserved to get some punishments. But the judges declined, saying

that the true cause of Elizabeth’s amoral behaviors were because of her uneducated parents.

Elizabeth got angry when she heard what the judges had said about her parents, and she promised

them that she would start being the most polite girl in school instead of being the naughtiest one, to

prove to them that what they had said about her parents were wrong. And the judges promised her

in return that she would be sent home immediately after she had accomplished her mission on being

the best student in school.

Weeks had passed and Elizabeth’s behaviors grew better by the days. The other students had

started to like her, and the number of friends that she had increased dramatically. She also

befriended her prefect, Nora, and soon the whole school was also friends with her. The judges saw

the progress that she had made, and they finally decided to fulfill Elizabeth’s wish; to be sent home

straightaway to her family.

So when the last meeting was held, the judges asked Elizabeth whether she wanted to leave

this school or not. Surprisingly, Elizabeth told them that she wanted to stay, saying that she loved

this school and did not want to part from any of her new friends.

At the end of the semester, when her mother came to pick her up, Elizabeth told her that

she still wanted to go to Whyteleafe next year. Her mother was very stunned at the drastic changes

of her daughter’s attitudes, but nonetheless, she was very pleased. Finally, Elizabeth Allen, who used

to be the naughtiest girl in her school, was now the honor student of Whyteleafe.
