Why we celebrate

Sept. 13th

Los Niños Heroes de Chapultapec is the event that is celebrated on September the 13th every year in honor of those cadets that resisted on that battle on the year of 1847.

They were: Juan Escutia Juan de la Barrera Francisco Marquez Agustin Melgar Fernando Montes de Oca Vicente Suarez

Sept. 16th

That day is the day of independence of Mexico from Spain. In Sept. 16 we mexicans do “El Grito”, that is when we say we are Independent from Spain and we will fight for it.Which was done by Miguel Hidalgo in 1810.

Nov. 20th

We Mexicans on November the twentieth we celebrate the Mexican Revolution which was a fight for freedom from a dictator named Porfirio Diaz in 1910 to 1920.
