IntroductionA charming state in the lap of Himalayas, Himachal Pradesh presents awe-inspiring vistas that are sure to capture your attention. What to Visit?Though each city in the state is worth paying a visit to, the following mentioned are the ones that are most frequented by vacationers:

Shimla: An enchanted hill station, Shimla is a very popular destination among honeymooners. Its Victorian architecture has earned him enormous admirers ; this type of architecture can be easily sighted in many areas of The Mall and The Ridge. The town offers cinemascopic views, which you will never tired of soaking up.

Dalhousie: Dalhousie is the best choice for people who like to spend few days amid quiet atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of cities. Its old-world charm will mesmerize you and the locals will surprise you with their warm hospitality.

Rohtang Pass: It is a doorway to famous destinations like Lahaul Spiti, Pangi and Leh. Offering awe-inspiring mountain views, Rohtang Pass popular among lakhs of nature lovers. It is around 50 km from Manali and is best visitable between May/June to October/November

Dharamshala: This soothing hill station is divided into Lower Dharamshala and Upper Dharamshala, and is mainly inhabited by Tibetan Community. The main attractions are the monasteries, where preachers try to purge the mind of visitors.

Manali: Situated at a height of 2050 meters (close to Beas River), Manali offers spectacular views of snow-capped hills and mesmeric horizons. Besides leisure travelers, this hill station is also visited by adventure lovers to enjoy trekking, paragliding, rock climbing and other such activities.

Kasauli: If you happen to be a nature lover, this small town of Kasauli is your most ideal destination. Tree-lined paths, quaint charm and verdant hills will add to your pleasure of staying here. There are not much attractions, but the bounties of nature will certainly make your stay cherishable.

Madhi Snow View Point: A famous picnic spot, Madhi offers many opportunities to indulge in fun – be it throwing snow balls at each other or building a snow castle. It is the point from where the layers of snow start appearing to visitors.

Beholding Sunset Over Pirpanjal Range of Dalhousie: Place yourself at any of the vantage points of Dalhousie and enjoy the sun slowly going down to its abode. Though it sounds ordinary, but the view combined with cool breeze and greenery around makes it worth relishing.

Zorbing at Solang Valley: You don’t get to enjoy this sport everywhere. It involves smoothly rolling down a hill in a large ball, made of transparent plastic.

Shopping: Buy yourself a souvenir at any of the local markets of Shimla, Manali or any other popular hill station. These markets are very famous for their handicrafts, Tibetan carpets and Kullu shawls.

How to Reach?By Air: The airports at Gaggal, Bhuntar and Jubbarhatti connect Himachal Pradesh to Delhi and Chandigarh from flights operated by Indian Airlines, Kingfisher Red, MDLR Airlines, and Jagson Airlines.

By Train: The most important railway station in the state is Kalka Railway Station. It connects Kalka with the capital city of Shimla and various other parts of the state and country.

By Road: Himachal Pradesh boasts of very robust road network that link its popular destinations to the major North Indian cities. Please note that a few roads are closed during rainfall due to the fear of landslides. The state operates deluxe buses and luxury coaches from prominent cities of North India.
