RIO PALENQUE RESEARCH STATION

ABRAS CENTRAL LAKE, ABRAS DE MANPASILLO Y ABRAS DE MANTEQUILLA

It is a rice producing area par excellence derives its name from the yellow hue acquired by paddy fields when they are about to reap and “ABRAS" means "pool"has a wide variety of flora and fauna live here 72 kinds of birds, including herons, tambuleras, ducks, crows, pigeons tierreras, coots, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, tiles, Valdivias, parakeets, and diostedés pacharacos.
