Our Motorcycle Tour of Sri Lanka will show you the cultural wealth and lush vegetation full of exotic fruits and flowers and a huge diversity of wildlife. You will also get to enjoy adventurous safaris in the national parks.

The total distance covered on the Motorcycle Tour of Sri Lanka is approximately 1,900 km with a distance of approximately 80 to 220 km being covered daily.


The road conditions during the bike tour vary from well-maintained highways to tiny country lanes in varying conditions. We also have to travel short distances on dirt roads and mud tracks.The tour Bikes used are Suzuki DR 250, Honda XL 250 and other 250cc enduro motorcycles with electric starters and disk brakes, in good condition.


The Sri Lanka bike tour is not suitable for riders without any experience. Riders taking part in this tour should be able to control bikes in all kind of situations and surroundings. Offroad riding should not be a problem.

Sri Lanka Motorcycle Tour Overview

Day 1:The Sri Lanka Motorcycle Tour organisers meet you at the airport in Colombo.Day 2:Warm up motorcycle tour to the northern central plains of Sri Lanka.Day 3: Rock of Sigiriya ascent in the morning before breakfast. Later, we'll take beautiful roads to Kandy. Total distance covered is approximately 160 km


Day 4:We will visit the famous Tooth Temple, a sacred Buddhist site in town in the early morning. Later, shopping and sightseeing in Kandy. Total distance covered is approximately 120 km

Day 5:Visit to a marvelous Hindu temple and spice garden. Stop at a beautiful little mountain river for a dip and maybe a picnic. We will go for a safari at Wasgamuwa National Park and stay overnight at Willys Safari Hotel, a nature resort near Wasgamuwa National Park. Total distance covered is approximately 150 km.Day 6: Ride to the central mountains and tea plantations. Accommodation and dinner at the "County Comfort Inn" or at the Grand Ella Motel. Total distance covered is approximately 150 km.


Day 7:Ride across Horton's Plains, a high-altitude plateau and trip to World's End, a spectacular 1,650 m precipice, or Poor Man's World's End. Later on follow the roads through the heart of a tea planation including a visit to a tea factory. Total distance covered is approximately 100 km.Day 8: We start the day with a morning walk to the tea plantations and cliffs of Ella Gap. After breakfast, we'll head down to the east coast and finally reach the renowned surfer beach of Arugam Bay. Total distance covered is approximately 160 km.


Day 9:This is a day to enjoy the clear tropical sea and the imposing waves. However, in case you prefer a short day trip on challenging, sandy coastal tracks covering approximately 60 km can also be arranged.Day 10: Long ride on the southern Highways culminating at the "Palm Paradise Cabanas" at Tangale. We cover an approximate distance of 220km on day 10.


Day 11:This day is another beach day with swimming, ayurvedic massage and relaxing from yesterday's long, hard tour. For those who prefer riding you can choose to ride to the fishing harbour in the neighbouring town or to a small rock temple nearby. If you want the big ride, its just 80 km to Galle, the famous Dutch colonial fortress and town. Total distance covered less than 90 km. Day 12: The bike tour continues northward to the mountain ranges of Sri Lanka. We cover an approximate distance of 200km on day 12.


Day 13:Today we visit Adam's Peak, one of Sri Lanka's highest mountains at 2,300 meters and a famous place of pilgrimage. We continue further north and then down into the jungle valley of the Kelani Ganga river. In the afternoon, we can go river rafting, canyoning, paddeling, or take a short jungle trek. Total distance covered is approximately 180 km. Day 14: Today is the last day of our Sri Lanka bike tour. We leave the mountains on narrow roads to reach Negombo, in the early afternoon. There is still time left to enjoy another magic sundown at the beach. We cover an approximate distance of 110km.


Day 15:After the breakfast, we'll make our way to the airport.
